  Daniel Kaufman

Daniel Kaufman refers to his encaustic work as "a celebration of the alchemy of using heat to transform common crayon wax into the pure gold of beauty, often blooming up onto wood, canvas and masonite in the form of flowers and images of the cosmos".

His work has been described by prominent Beverly Hills art appraiser Robert Levy as "beautiful and challenging to behold, original and unique, with a jeweler's delight in detail and a simultaneously macrocosmic effect that makes his best pieces enjoyable from a distance or very close up. His work stands on the shoulders of those abstract expressionist painters who have moved 20th century art into a new dimension.
